Architects and engineers can’t start a new project until they know the exact size & shape of the site they’re developing. Our surveyors measure and record everything on a site then create accurate drawings and 3D computer models that show every detail of what’s there. When their designs are based on our surveys our customers avoid costly mistakes and they’re confident their projects will be successful.

The smooth operation of our business and reaching our goal of having the highest customer satisfaction in our industry are key to our future plans. We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile person with an outgoing personality to help us achieve those aims by joining us as our Customer and Operations Administrator. If you want to be in a position where you have to think for yourself and make decisions that will help push our business forward then you are exactly the sort of person we want to speak to.

This role will be wide ranging and will require working closely with our Managing Director and Office Administrator at our office in Worcester. Our company usually operates with around 10-15 employees and carries out surveys around the UK for a wide range of customers from sole practitioners to global architectural practices and public bodies.

Outstanding English skills and an obsession with good spelling and grammar are essential requirements for this position. If your application contains any spelling mistakes it will not be considered.


The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Being a main point of contact for the business for customers
  • Ensuring all customers or potential customers have a great experience whenever they contact our business
  • Working with our surveyors and CAD team to ensure all projects run smoothly and are delivered on time
  • Making sure every customer gets everything they need on time and receive even more than they were expecting
  • Developing relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Marketing – telephoning prospects, writing copy, updating social media accounts and our website
  • Managing our CRM system
  • Carrying out customer satisfaction surveys
  • Credit control
  • Providing support & cover for our Office Administrator by helping with quotations and invoices
  • Taking charge of staff training and CPD
  • Improving current operating systems and productivity
  • Running our Quality Assurance system
  • Attending networking events
  • Recruitment
  • Dealing with HR issues
  • Carrying out staff assessments


Essential skills:

  • Excellent command of the English language – written and spoken
  • An obsession with spelling and grammar
  • An efficient organiser of yourself and others
  • Excellent all round computer skills – you must have a keen interest in learning to use new software systems and technology as our business evolves
  • A proven track record in administration and customer care
  • A good understanding of business operation systems, social media and marketing
  • Microsoft Word or similar
  • Microsoft Excel or similar


Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with using ACT! or other CRM systems
  • WordPress or other website tools
  • Sage or other accounting systems
