About Us

Based in the City of Worcester, Bury Associates are one of the country’s most innovative and progressive land survey companies. We carry out land and measured building surveys throughout the UK, with the majority of our workload being around central England. Our clients range from private individuals through to some of the country’s leading architectural and civil engineering practices as well as major public bodies. Surveys carried out in the last few years include Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Big Brother House, a Grand Designs site and the home of one Britain’s best loved TV presenters. We also get to survey our fair share of grotty factories and muddy ditches in freezing, wet weather.

About The Job

Our surveyors are based at our office in the centre of Worcester but the successful candidate must be prepared to travel and work throughout the UK and be suitably flexible to suit our dynamic work practices. We understand our staff have a life outside of the work place and where possible we take account of personal situations in organising work schedules.

Except on the rarest occasions we do not work nights or at weekend.

Candidates should ideally live locally to our offices or be prepared to relocate

About You

You should have a recognised survey related qualification and/or have received quality in-house training coupled with suitable experience with a reputable organisation. You must be self-motivated with good communication and administrative skills and be willing to embrace new software and technologies. You must be able to organise jobs and see them through to completion, working to strict quality control standards that ensure that our clients receive the quality of service that they have come to expect from Bury Associates.

You must be competent at operating modern survey equipment, preferably with experience in using Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GPS. Good knowledge of AutoCAD and modern survey processing software is essential (ideally Geosite or Carlson). You will be expected to have produced Topographical Surveys to a high standard and have at least some experience in carrying out Measured Building Surveys. Candidates must have a clean driving licence.

Junior Land Surveyors

We are also currently seeking Junior Land Surveyors who are part qualified, qualified or who have relevant experience in carrying out Land Surveys and/or Measured Building Surveys who are looking to advance their career further. Salary would depend on experience and would be supplemented by our profit related and travel bonus schemes.
