Getting a price for measuring and drawing the plans of your premises:
In certain areas one of our surveyors may be able call round to your premises to assess it for pricing, otherwise we require either a set of existing plans and/or some rough sketches to help us calculate our quotation. Don’t worry about the quality of the sketch - it is only needed to give us a rough idea of the size and layout of the premises.
If possible please provide plans and/or sketches showing the following:
The extent of the entire building that houses the licensed premises (even if the premises only takes up a small part of the overall building).
The internal layout of the rooms comprising the premises. If providing a rough sketch try and keep everything in proportion. Each room can just be shown as a simple rectangle - don’t get too carried away with your sketching, leave the complicated drawing to us!
Any external areas in which licensed activities are carried out, such as beer gardens.
Some rough dimensions to give us an idea of the size of the premises. Please write your approximate dimensions in metres where possible, pacing out distances is fine - remember one good sized pace is about one metre.
As soon as we receive your quotation request we will call you to fully discuss the details of your premises. We will then provide you with a fixed price quotation and a timescale for measuring your premises and for supplying the finished drawings.
Contract prices can be supplied for surveying chains or associated premises. If your premises are part of a chain, please alert your area manager or head office of the fact that your premises need a new set of plans for submission with your Premises License conversion application, and that we can provide this service.
